Hi everyone! Simon, here! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Speaking of weekends, do you have any plans for this coming weekend? It’s going to be a hot one, with temperatures in the upper 80s. I have a great idea, though. Why not spend your Saturday morning supporting Simon Kenton Council AND cooling off at a water park? You may have to bike and run in order to get to the water, but I promise: Kids Roll! will be an excellent time!
Simon Kenton Council is partnering with kidslinked.com, a resourceful website for parents and children in central Ohio, to host the first Kids Roll! Triathlon & Fitness event, from 7:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Reed Road Water Park in Upper Arlington. The event is the first of four events which will take place throughout the summer at various water parks.
Kids Roll! will feature several triathlon race options. For those kids who may not be quite comfortable with the water, a less intimidating but equally fun race is the perfect option.
Sounds like a lot of work, right? Why would you want to spend your Saturday morning running, biking and swimming? Well, I’ll give you several reasons why Kids Roll! is the perfect event for you and your family, if you register for a race:
- Laser tag. Need I say more?
- Bounce houses, games and trampolines. You know, in case you have extra energy left after biking, swimming and running
- Pancake breakfast. Athletes need their fuel!
- Free McDonald’s food and coupons
- An event shirt
- Magic Mountain tickets. Who doesn’t love go-carts and games?
- Admission to the water park
If this event sounds like something you’d like to do, find out more details by going to www.kidslinked.com/kidsroll. Use the code TRI and you’ll save $5. You must register to participate, but I promise: You’ll have lots of fun AND get to support your local Boy Scouts!
